The Roncalli Newman Parish is a Roman Catholic community of students of the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse and Western Technical College, with their faculty and staff and stationary members from the greater La Crosse area. Our primary mission is to invite the student community at UW-L and WTC to know God in Christ, to enrich their lives through prayer, to promote Christian values, and to educate for justice and peace.

We provide an environment for students of Catholic background, or who may be interested in Catholicism, to grow in faith through study, worship, spirituality, fellowship and service. While sponsored by the Catholic Community, our doors are open to students of all backgrounds and interests

LOOKING FORWARD TO LENT!

MONDAY: “Get up and Go!” for LENT 2012!
In addition to the Sunday Scripture Study @ 7:00pm (facilitated by Mary Kerrigan), Michael Mader and Mary Ellen Haupert are teaming up for a special LENTEN bible study entitled, _“Get up and Go: on the Move with Jesus in the Gospel of Mark.” _The six-part series will be held Monday evenings @ 8:00pm in the lower level (beginning 2/27) and will explore the history, formal structure, and theology of this early gospel! TUESDAY: Be part of a Lenten Small Group
Kathy Nicklaus will facilitate a faith sharing group on Tuesday evenings during Lent, which will run from February 28th—April 3rd. SIGN UP at the DOORS.
WEDNESDAY: Find your voice in the Triduum Choir
Each spring, music ministry fills out its ranks with volunteers willing to participate in the Holy Week Liturgies. If this is something you've always wanted to try (but have been too busy, etc., etc.), please sign up after mass or e-mail Mary Ellen at maryellen@roncallinewmancenter.org. Practices are each Wednesday during Lent from 5:30-7:00pm (beginning Wednesday, March 1st). SIGN UP at the PIANO.
FRIDAY: EAT, PRAY, LISTEN
Let your Lenten Fridays wind down prayerfully with Stations of the Cross @ 5:00pm, followed by Soup and Sustenance for the Soul (5:30pm meal, followed by an inspirational talk @ 6:00pm).
