The main goals of the Chapel Renovation are:

  • to provide quality seating for 500 in a single space preserving assembly sightlines and as much of our ”up-close and in the round” feel as possible;
  • to re-work the front offices so all staff are settled in permanent offices that are outfitted with all the "modern amenities" of life: heat in the winter and cooling in the summer, personal security, and appropriate confidentiality;
  • to reclaim a section of the ground floor taken up now with the music and campus ministry offices and overflow seating for Sunday Mass, and return it into a first-floor gathering space for weekend worship and a student lounge during the week;
  • to address maintenance needs to bring the building up to health and accessibility codes (asbestos, HVAC, 1st-floor bathroom, etc.);
  • to freshen our worship space aesthetically and liturgically that we might celebrate the liturgy in a setting that was only imperfectly envisioned when the space was originally designed in the early 1960’s.
