Check out this video slideshow from last year's trip to see how much fun you can have on our mission trip!

Here's all you need to know about our summer mission trip!

Who? The trip is open to all young people of our parish entering grades 9th-12th for the 2012/2013 school and 2012 graduating seniors. This year Mark Carpenter will be leading the trip and we will need 3 more adult leaders to serve as chaperones.

When? July 7th-14th

Where? Cairo, Illinois. Cairo is located about 10 1/2 hours from La Crosse at the Southern tip of Illinois.

What? We will be working with an organization called YouthWorks that specializing in life changing mission trips for teenagers. Participants serve in a variety of ways during a YouthWorks mission trip. Young people may spend all week at one ministry or switch between ministries during the week. The key is come with a willing and flexible spirit. Types of work we may do:

1. Kids Club: A hands-on program led by the youth offering high energy games, crafts, skits, songs, and interactive lessons all designed to help kids learn about Jesus

2. Work projects:whether we're painting a house or preforming minor home repair, cleaning up debris, volunteering in community gardens, or other projects in the community, the projects the young people work on will serve as a way of blessing people in need

Cost: The cost of the trip will be $400* which includes: housing, meals, project supplies, site leadership, chaperone fees, transportation, T-shirt, promotional, preparation, and debriefing material

Fundraising: Our fundraising efforts last year yielded over $1900! We plan on doing fundraising this year with all the proceeds being divided among the young people who help with the fundraising project. Not only does funraising help off set the cost of the trip but also helps to build community among the young people going on the trip. Pat Carpenter will be in charge of fundraising.

Interested??? SIGN UP TODAY! To register a $60 non-refundable deposit must be made to Kristin by January 1st. But DON'T WAIT!!! There are limited spots available and they will fill up FAST!!!
